PRIDE Worship
Wednesday, June 17, 2026 5:30 pm University Lutheran Church, 110 Garfield Ave, Eau Claire

You are invited to our first (and hopefully annual) PRIDE worship service, as we celebrate all of God’s beloveds in the Chippewa Valley.

Immanuel, Trinity, and University Lutheran Churches are all Reconciling in Christ congregations, having done intentional work for welcome, affirmation, and full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people. We are committed to honoring the gifts and faith that queer people bring to the church as we shape ministry together. This includes baptism, confirmation, name changes, marriage, leadership, ordination, funerals, and all of life. In our congregations and campus ministry, LGBTQIA+ people serve on council and committees and lead worship, Bible studies, Sunday school, confirmation, and service projects.

We take the Bible seriously, especially as we see God creating all people in God’s image (you, too!), expanding spaces to include varieties of gifts and ways to be in the world, and loving the neighbor with God’s own unconditional love as we know it in Jesus. As church we are called to be the body of Christ, making that love real for all creation.

And so, we gather to celebrate this holy love, our call to be Christ’s love in the world, and to boldly proclaim together that GOD ADORES YOU!! In singing, prayer, and sharing Holy Communion together we receive the promises of God for forgiveness and eternal life, celebrating the new life we have together in Christ. Also, there will be ice cream afterward!

You are invited to this table, this celebration, this gathering of God’s beloved queer people! (Allies, too)

At University Lutheran Church, we follow Christ, who unites us through unconditional grace. We seek to mirror God’s love and commit with you to work for justice and peace.

Because we are called to be part of God’s family, we welcome you with open arms.

Here you are welcome, whether Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, a member of another religious community, an agnostic, or seeking a spiritual home.

Here you are welcome, whatever your sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression; here we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive community for all.

Here you are welcome, whether Black, LatinX, White, Asian, Native American, or you claim multiple ethnicities; here we are committed to striving for racial equity.

Here you are welcome, whether a student or teacher, a PhD or entering kindergarten; whatever your political allegiances, your social status, your income level, or your age; no matter your talents, abilities or disabilities, your address, or your past.

Here you are welcome, to University Lutheran and to our community of imperfect people, loved by God.
